CNY SNAP administers a cat and kitten adoption program through our Cortland shelter and the PetSmart Charities in the Dewitt. All cats are spayed/neutered and vaccinated before they are eligible for adoption.
Applications from prospective owners are reviewed for suitability and cats are placed into loving homes. Consider taking a cat or kitten into your home and your heart today!
Note: At CNY SNAP, we require young kittens go to their forever homes in pairs, unless you already have a playful kitten or a young cat at home. Our goal is to make sure the kittens we rescue, love, and nurture are adopted into homes that provide the best environment for their behavioral and social development. It’s not about boosting our adoption numbers; it’s about ensuring each kitten finds a home where they can thrive with another young feline friend/companion. Most rescue groups have similar policies, and we’re all in for giving these kittens the best start in life! 🐾
CNY SNAP in Cortland
The adoption process at our Cortland facility consists of filling out an application and speaking with our adoption coordinator. A veterinarian reference and personal reference checks are required.
